Welcome

Hi, I’m Kristin. I help women reconnect with themselves through yoga, Ayurveda & seasonal rituals.

My Journey

In 2007, I was living with lower back pain and a lot of stress, without much thought for self-care. I didn’t exercise, I didn’t pay attention to what I ate — I just pushed through. Around that time, my doctor told me I had just experienced my first ‘anxiety attack.’ I was in complete disbelief. I refused to believe I had anxiety and insisted it must be something else. It took me much longer to realize that I had actually been living with anxiety most of my life — I just didn’t have the language or awareness to name it. My doctor casually asked if I’d tried yoga, and I laughed it off, imagining it was only for ‘granola-munching hippies.

Discovering Yoga

Fast forward a few months later, I was back in Buffalo, going through a difficult breakup, when a friend invited me to my first class. It was Bikram yoga. I’ll never forget lying in savasana, feeling something shift in me for the first time. I thought, “What is this sorcery?” and signed up for a work trade at the studio so I could keep practicing.

From there, yoga cracked something open. I started exploring different classes, breathing practices, even hula hooping and movement arts. I realized I had been living with anxiety for most of my life, and that these practices gave me tools to manage it.

Deepening the Practice

In 2013, everything changed when I took a transformative class at Wanderlust in Vermont and met Coby Kozlowski, who later became one of my teachers at Kripalu. In 2014, I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training and was introduced to Ayurveda for the first time. The more I learned about daily rhythm, seasonal eating, and holistic healing, the more alive and grounded I felt.

Finding Ayurveda

That spark kept growing. Over the years, I trained further at Kripalu — first with Vinyasa Flow and Uniting Yoga & Ayurveda with teachers I deeply admire, including Kate O’Donnell, Erin Casperson, Larissa Hall Carlson, and Dr. Rosy Mann. In 2021, I completed another 200 hours in Ayurveda, and it was during that time that the idea for the Live in Balance Journal was born.

Yoga showed me how to connect to myself. Ayurveda showed me how to live in harmony with nature. And together, they’ve shaped how I live, teach, and guide others today.

My Mission

I’ve always felt most at home in nature — picking flowers or seasonal produce at local farmers markets, skipping puddles, morning walks, hiking in the crisp fall air, or sitting quietly under the sky.

My mission is to help women reconnect with that same sense of rhythm and belonging.

Through yoga, Ayurveda, sound, and journaling, I create warm, magical spaces where you can feel nourished, centered, and in tune with the seasons of both nature and your own life.

A Note for You

You don’t need to have all the answers or a perfect plan. You just have to be curious — willing to start, even as a beginner. To trust yourself, to listen inward, to try new things.

I want you to know that it doesn’t take much to start. You don’t have to be flexible to practice yoga. You don’t have to know all the terminology. Everything you need is already within you.

Self-care isn’t about rigid routines or rules. It’s about softness. Surrender. Listening. Compassion. It’s an act of love for the most important person in your life: you.

And you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to walk alongside you — season by season, breath by breath.
